vaginal estriol cream along with systemic HRT. Asked my male doctor how he would like his organ to shrink and I got the prescription with no arguments. It is also excellent for keeping the complexion looking good.
Apparently 25% of women need vaginal estrogen along with systemic hormones.

I do have an excellent working relationship with my Gp. I just thought he needed some enlightening about female hormones. Anyhow he prescribes me everything I require these days so I have him well trained.
I do use systemic hormones but needed to add estriol vaginal cream to the mix. Apparently 25% of women do need to use both types of administration to prevent atrophy. I found out the hard way when things got uncomfortable. It took about a month to reverse the sandpapery sensation and poor husband led the life of a monk!
An added bonus with estriol is that the stuff is great for keeping the lips and facial skin in good nick and cheaper then anti wrinkle creams.
Seriously though I think all women aged over forty should use it to help prevent prolapse. I have a cystocele and retocele and had I known what I do now I would have used a maintenance dose years ago.
