kicking off the new gossip column with sausage hands.Vanity had me deciding to plump my scrawny hands and I am pleased with the result.Last night we had an invitation to a birthday meal and there I sat with swollen hands staring disconsolately at my grilled Dover sole as my fingers refused to co operate with the cutlery. I was in danger of having the fish nose dive into my lap and I watched my husband trying not to laugh at my antics. I speared a piece of broccoli and managed to get it into my mouth.i didn't attempt a pudding as I thought it would be pushing my luck too far. Jacks

Sausage hands now looking great . I have my period and am a trifle snappy but not too bad - at least the cats haven't run away from my evil temper- are you still considering hormones Gobe

Good to hear your hands have settled. Yes, I am still considering hormones in the forum of estrogen gel, I think, cos that would be safer for my liver. Seeing doc on Tuesday. Will keep you posted Jacks.

Gobe Best way to get hormones is to say your flushes keep you awake all night.Standard NHS protocol -to get gel say that you gave IBS and skin issues which rules out patches and estradiol tablets. Also ask for investing for vaginal soreness - tell the doctor sex is impossible - they always consider needs of male partner. Jacks xx

ladies Apologies for my absence but a few bricks fell down through my bedroom ceiling and we had to relocate bed to library. I was almost badly injured but fortunately the bricks missed ( although husband joked that they would have bounced) Christmas was a bit meh due to the fact I need my hormones adjusting. I am now using the stronger Sandrena. Hugs to all of ou and apologies to Gobe left holding the fort. Jacks

Just glad you are ok Jacks. Half of the family had the flu/colds at Christmas so it kind of took the edge off things. Could hardly taste the turkey and OH had to be sent home (from cousin's house) in a taxi cos he felt so ill. He then spent the rest of his hoiday on the sofa shivering and sniffling.
