Well I guess you all know who I am. It's now a week since I went off to change the beds and came back an hour later to find that Emma the Admin had unilaterally deleted my account from the Menopause Matters Forum with no explanation or courtesy as to why. I didn't join here straightaway as I'm feeling 'forum weary' because of my treatment over there, so forgive me if I don't post much at the outset. I don't like admins of forums messing with peoples heads and giving the impression to all and sundry that 25 to 30 women have done something they quite clearly have not, i.e. set up a rival forum. It was more a case of 'needs must' as my dear old (late) Mum would have said. A forum formed and contributed to by women who were thrown of Menopause Matters for no other reason than their face did not fit, or they mistakenly joined a second forum, not knowing it wasn't allowed. This forum Menopause Support International should be highly commended not vilified. Menopausal women had a lifeline snatched away from them on MM. A lifeline that they had actually helped make and this is what happens when a lifeline is removed, people have to make their own arrangements. I'm still very much missing lady's like cubagirl who was chatty to me from day one, Eddie, Bette, the lovely Firewalker50 and felt I was getting to know Paisley and Pixie. I also missing joining in with SuziQ's dyslexic rambles (I am dyslexic lol). Viewing as a guest last week I notice Firewalker50 put up a post that said 'Susan is on FemSeven Conti she will probably be along to answer in a while' that was the first and only time I cried about all this. Today I see this from mumsword who I had tried to help with her vaginal atrophy issues when she joined. I had received over the years many pms of thanks too. Re: Problems after Vagifem « Reply #3 on: Today at 08:29:29 AM » --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last week i had some very helpful responses on this forum but they have now been removed which i find bewildering! I decided to take another look to try and give me some support during a difficult time and they're gone. Very disappointing and not helpful! I shall be very reluctant to post again!Emma first response at 9.19.34am was "Posts will only be removed if they are in breach of forum rules. There are no off topic treatments except perhaps the touchy subject of horses" showing her for the liar she is. She thought better of it and edited to say Re: Problems after Vagifem « Reply #4 on: Today at 09:19:34 AM » --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posts will only be removed if they are in breach of the forum rules or the member's account has been deleted. There are no off-topic treatments, except perhaps the touchy subject of horses. « Last Edit: Today at 09:28:26 AM by Emma » I don't suppose mumsword will see this, but if you do, I want you to know I didn't abandon you of my own volition, it's that all the 5,200 posts I have put on Menopause Matters have been unilaterally deleted by the Emma the Admin on there. She quite clearly didn't like me suggesting there should be a fair and equitable system for deleting accounts, such as three warnings letting you know what forum rule you have broken, as virtually every other web forum has. But why delete 1,000's of replies to posts on menopausal issues, vagifem etc which may help new members when doing a search on Vaginal Atrophy and the like? Anyway enough of me rambling on. I want to end by thanking Robyn for setting up a forum for women who need menopausal support, as most of us felt pretty abandoned by the other place. I am sure it can't have been easy for you to get this off the ground especially as you have your own menopausal issues to deal with, and I can tell that your membership are very grateful, and I sincerely wish you all the luck in the world with it. xxxx PS I love the spellchecker PMSL

Thanks for the welcome loveydovey , pinky and Bex Sorry I rambled on in my fist post. Loveydovey i'm not sure why you think you scared me off PSML ;D But I just want to say you are resonsible for a severe bout of constipation I suffered recently. I stopped my FemSeven having bought three months supply of Livial in a Pharmacy in Spain took it for about 10 days to see if it would have any effect on my ailing libido and to see if it was worth asking my GP to change me across. OMG I cant explain what it did to my bowels agony for a weekend. So that's one plane that has completely gone up the Swany. Perhaps I should have stayed on the FemSeven at the same time as they control my IBS, who knows. xxxx

Hi Susan
I'm really glad that you joined here, too. We've all been through a rotten time with this, but I'm so pleased that this group is here and that it is developing so well. The atmosphere is completely different!
Gxx (fleurie to you)!

Jacks Hi Jacks, Sorry I missed your welcome I did actually read some of your posts from back in the day, when I very first joined MM, although by the time I joined you had become ' a name in black '. You posted interesting stuff about actually how poor and dreadfully misleading the data was on the connection between the use of HRT and Breast Cancer, that has stayed with me ever since I read it. In a way that is comforting to me as it means maybe we haven't all been wasting our time over the years trying to get the messages out there. We have no idea how many of the silent out there have read our musings. I am sure you didn't know I had read all yours and that they had, had an impact on me. If your post stayed with me hopefully it will have stayed with others and hopefully all the stuff I put up over the years to give women hope to help them get through the menopausal maze hasn't been in vain. xxxx

A big hello and warm welcome, Susan! I've seen your excellent posts on 'the other place' and it comes as no surprise to me that you've been given the boot by Mrs Chairman Mao. The MM Cultural Revolution continues apace! After all you contributed to that forum, I'm sure it must be very upsetting to be treated so shabbily, like so many other ladies have been recently. But, as they said in the great Brit film 'Saturday Night And Sunday Morning' - "Don't let the bastards grind you down!!!"

With you & she talking about how the press loved any stories about Breasts but particularliy if they could put in a bit of scaremongering about mutilating surgery for good measure and added scare effects. It was classic stuff. Neither of you lasted much longer than that. I have a really weird memory, can remember stuff like that, but can't remember my own mobile phone number.

It has rather become a bit of a Stalinist State over there. Saturday Night and Sunday Morning - Phew that takes me back. Now they just all merge into one with my cronic insommnia. xxxx

Good on you for trying, though! Having been through that experience I wouldn't want to go back now - to paraphrase Groucho Marx "I wouldn't want to belong to a club that doesn't want me as a member"! The way that place is "run" will ensure, in time, that there is no-one left with any independent thoughts.

Hi Susan - welcome to the other side. Gelis - I totally agree with your sentiment. I would not want to return to MM now and I do agree, there will be no-one left to give the forum any credence. We have all the good guys here.

Susan i pm'd you twice on MM, one as Swanky and one as Fairie. Also not forgetting Mandy2. You never responded, so i thought i scared you off and especially after me terriorising MM. Don't think I got them LD, Emma was probably already messin with my PM box Grrrrh! I am so glad I am off there in some ways although I miss the nice posters and loved helping newbies. I was getting so paranoid even when I was sending a simple pm I was asking people to delete it once read, talk about secret squirel. What a way to run a forum. xxxx

I just found it interesting in itself and have a certain amount of admiration for those who can be consistent enough in their views about simple living to follow it through and pass this on in a positive way to their daughters. Would I ever do it - no thanks, though I might just have tried the Mooncup thing if it had been around when I was younger. Hope I don't need any of this stuff for much longer! Gxx

I think It is a dreadful thing to pull support away from someone when they need it. Talk about kicking a person when they are down. I suppose you never found out what you did either, like the rest of us. I had tingly arms and legs when I was early in peri menopause never worked out what it was really, but am still here to tell the tale, although I know that's not much consolation when you get all these new nutty symptoms and I trying to put them in a box and work out what is causing them. xxxx

I am never certain about this one as to be honest most of my problems came along a couple of years after I last saw a period. But then maybe some have a bad peri and a good post and others have a good peri and a bad post? It's not like we all experience these things the same. I'm just grateful you are who I thought you are and I wasn't blithering about sanitary products to someone who would think I was quite mad. I didn't even need them when I was on good old Femoston Conti whose continuous progesterone used to give me a kind of bizarre watery pink spotting. xxxx xxxx

Hi Susan A very big warm welcome from me too - I can't begin to say what I felt when I saw what they did to you last week. I was shocked beyond belief. As has been said though I am sure your kind and helpful words of advice and support will have been taken and remembered by lots of grateful women and there is no knowing the positive impact you have had over the years - but it will be there! There were and still are lots of lovely women over there on that other menopause for?um, and some who I'd rather not mention - and I had great/interesting conversations with many - and many of whom are now on here. You were my one constant friend and ally over there who would stand for no nonsense, stand up for what you believed in, and defend others who were being bullied. And 100% trustworthy without any hidden agenda. I have chosen not to reveal what my identity was over there as it is immaterial but you know me anyway. . We had some really interesting discussions between us and others and the great thing was it made me go and look things up that I didn't know or if I wanted to challenge something. As well as that I agree - I too miss the helping the newbies because sometimes the questions they raised could be answered so simply with a little knowledge - but important that if it was re meno and HRT that it was answered correctly. Let's hope we get lots of new members seeking answers so we can help them. Anyway so glad you are here too! Bellaciao x Sorry especially garbled today due to fuzzy head - prog withdrawal, bleed and fasting diet so feeling weird/as well as wired! Thank you so much Bella you were my one constant friend on there as well. I felt as long as you were there I could put up with most things. It wasn't the same for me once they deleted you, but I made the concious decision to stay on in the vague hope that I might be able to point some of the newbies who were really struggling with their menopause symptoms to useful information or posts. Sadly it wasn't to be. You were a rock for me over there and once gone I think I was naive to try and stick with it, the odds were stacked against me! I have forgotten if you are a 'name in black' or someone of whom there is no sadly no trace anymore - what an awful lot of useful information to just disappear. It's their loss as your knowledge was second to none, and you had a brilliant style of delivery. xxxx

I just wonder why i am being ignored, like 5 attemps, considering i was the one, who pm'd so much, i just wonder, if i have made a mistake. i wonder why i fussed so much. You aren't being ignored LD. I have already written something on your 'new laptop' thread. I didn't get any of your pms on MM as I have already explained. Also when I tried to join here three or four days ago, I simply could not log on, I could even see I had here pms waiting for me, but my user name and activation codes just did not work. When the girls on here finally managed to sort out my account(they think it was a problem with AOL, I've got no idea what it was). There were no emails waiting for me. I think they may have had to delete my original account, so perhaps your pms were in that who knows but I don't have them now I have two pms one welcoming me and one from Pinky, I am sure they can confirm that. I don't know.
