Hello, I'm gillypanda and I was invited here by Bellaciao after she helped me on another forum I'm 51 and having a nightmare of a menopause. I'm currently researching as much as I can about starting HRT, as I've always been keen to manage using natural remedies. I can't stand the hot flushes much longer though, and the weight gain, headaches, anxiety and general paranoia! I'm looking forward to chatting with you all

Hi gillypanda Good to see you here. I was just the same a couple of years ago, until I decided enough was enough & I'm very glad that I decided to try HRT. Took me a while to find the right regime, although thanks to what I've learned from the ladies here, I'm really happy with my current choice. xx

gillypanda I'm two years and a half years post menopausal and starting to feel tempted by HRT as well. It's the aches and pains that are getting me down the most now. Most of the hot flushes have gone and my weight has stabilized. You are in good company here.

Hi Gillypanda Any friend of Bellas is welcome on here. Hope you like it and find it useful. There is a general menopause section that you can post in if you want specific advice and I am sure members will do their best to help with support and suggestions. We have acquired quite a lot of knowledge and experience on here. I have had the meno from hell too, but HRT has kind of sorted me out. I am post meno. xxxx

Hi Gilly - It's good to have you here. I also tried the natural route. I went to a naturopath for 3 months and spent a fortune only to find out that it didn't work. I never found anything "natural" that would help any of my menopause symptoms. However, I now realise that taking hormones is actually the only "natural" route to take, because the hormones are the only things that can solve the problem.
