Hi ladies,
I have registered a long time ago and have already forgotten about this forum! I am 3 years postmenopause and looking forward to exchanging information on this exciting times π I was a member of MenopauseMatters but for reasons I can't understand I am not allowed to register again. I have not been banned or suspended. I have closed my account around 3 years ago (whilst in perimenohell) and now I wanted to go back to share my experiences, but have no response from admin and webmaster. I'm from Brazil and maybe we're not allowed in the forum any more? Anyway, I hope someone will come along to chat with me π Excuse my poor English π
Menomale (not male, the username is Italian and means something like 'not so bad')

Welcome Menomale! I run this almost dormant forum and was thinking of closing it down due to lack of use so it is nice to see a new member here. I am ten years post menopause now and will be happy to chat with you.

I am ok - the first few years were the worst but now things have settled down and I am resigned to my new figure and long grey hair that makes me look like a witch or a wise women. I cannot decide which I am some days.

I'm not on HRT either. I tried it for 3 months and got suicidal (probably Utrogestan). Anyway, migraines which had almost disappeared came back with a vengeance and I decided that menopause couldn't be worse than migraines. I also have asthma, fibroids, polyps and a blood clotting issue, so HRT is a no no.
I still have hot flushes and morning fatigue, plus a peripheral neuropathy (burning skin) that could be related to menopause, but it could be something else.

Sorry to hear that Menomale. I don't envy you those host flushes. Mine only lasted a few years and I maybe get one a couple of times a month now and sometimes none. I also had the fatigue and hot burning skin but that has gone now. The hardest thing for me to accept was the meno belly and bigger boobs and they are still stubbornly with me despite numerous diets and lifestyle changes so in the end I decided acceptance was the best!

I agree 100% and yes, big belly and boobs here too, but hey, they're nothing compared to serious diseases. So do you think the burning skin is definitely a menopause symptom? I'd be so happy when it's gone! Thank you so much Gobe, you've made my day (night)! By the way, are you in the UK? It's a tad late... Or do you have insomnia? Nosey, me?

Well all I can say is that I had the burning skin and I think it was meno related, for me, because it has gone now. Yes, I am in the UK - in Scotland and it is quite late but I am a night owl.

Wonderful Scotland! Love it and have some great Scottish friends. That's good news, regarding the burning, thank you so much! I'm a night owl as well.
