Has anyone tried the suggested remedies for sore/tender breasts - i.e. starflower oil supplements? I know this is estrogen induced and if I drastically cut down the estrogen part of my HRT regime for a week or two it improves and then is okay again for a while. However, it doesn't take long for the unwelcome symptoms to kick in so if could offset the nuisance of the tenderness that would be preferable. Any advice greatly appreciated.

My boobs do get a bit sore from time to time, mainly around the nipple area, but it hasn't been bad enough to take anything for it. I guess I see it as preferable to the horrible insomnia, hot flushes, and depression I had without the oestrogen. Although on the downside, I am due to have a mammogram done soon, so I hope that doesn't make it too painful. Maybe I should try some EPO to see if it helps.

Thanks for the info ladies - sounds positive. Do any of you know which one would be better - starflower or evening primrose? I have heard of both of them for breast pain. As usual, easing up on the estrogen has improved the tenderness but I agree, it's too high a price to pay - I do notice the difference when I cut back on it for two weeks. One more supplement to add to the Litozin for joints (still not sold on that one but may as well use them up anyway) and vitamin D. I'm sure it could be worse though - at one time I was taking half a dozen different supplements and I can't for the life of me remember which ones and what they were for - obviously not memory loss!

Okay, have got some today, so will give it a try - just saw the advice from Warthog, start with 500g a day - whoops, bought the stronger ones, so will see how it goes. There was someone else buying them at the same time and she said they helped with 'hormone balance' which can only be a plus.

Hi I'd only been using it a week. But liek you say everyone is different with what they can & cant take etc. My stomach used to be like cast iron till couple of yrs ago & peri started. Now I have had to stop so many things (one being chocolate ) I get really bad heartburn that can last for 3 days.... Stumpy xx
