Oh dear, what have I done ?

After bragging last night about how well the femSeven Conti was going (talk about jinxing things), I have got thin watery spotting this morning.

This is after about 14 months on this product.

I now have a confession to make, insofar as last week, I inadvertently left my old patch on with my new one.

I was gobsmacked as I thought it had come off during my bath as always and was stunned that it had stayed in place for the best part of an extra week.

Please, please tell me someone that this light watery bleeding is due to me having messed up my patch routine, as I am feeling a bit wobbly about it.

It seems too much of a coincidence that it has started at the same time as I have made such a big mess up to be anything else.

But I am worried that I have messed up my hormone balance and now having triggered this it might become a permanent feature.

I really though that after a week it would be bereft of hormones but it was still stuck solid.

Temporary upset - don't let it worry you. The cause is obvious it is the extra patch. Ignore it and the problem should resolve itself.

Thanks Jacks. It always falls off in the bath and I normally fish it out when I clean it after, but assumed it went down the plug hole this time. Can't beleive it didn't subsequently come of when towelling dry after showers etc

Always use alternate cheeks (sorry if TMI) imagine my surprise when DH informed me I was sporting one on each cheek !

Hoping it's a self induced blip.

I am just surprised that such a small mistake has prompted this bleed.

Doe s that mean that 14 mcgs of levonorgestrel is not enough to opposed 100 mcgs of estradiol, but 7 mcgs will successfully opposed 50 mcgs estradiol ?

How weird.

I will never get my head around the science and I hate not knowing things :-(

I'm really cross with myself as it is constant like a very light period and if it takes a long time I shall have to go out and buy a pack of pads. Grhh!

It's fine to be garbled Bella as I know what you are getting at, it has been going on all week, but is gradually dwindling away.

At least it is a sharp wake up call for me to be a bit more vigilant with my routines.

For some reason I don't see HRT as a big deal so I can be a bit casual about how I administer it as, so long as I am feeling OK I think it's working and I don't want to become anxious about every last microgramme of product I use.

But let's face it you can't get anything easier than apply one patch a week and replace on day seven and I still messed it up, you have to laugh

Goodness knows how I be if let loose with 25 utrogestan a month I would end u putting them up my nose or something daft.
