I always try and read different views on menopause. This book talked complete and utter twaddle with peculiar dietary advice (live yoghurt mixed with almonds for breakfast) . Why do women get sucked into the idea that living on peculiar diets with tasty food excluded will cause them to lose weight, cure menopause symptoms and detoxify the body. Men aren't so easily convinced. I for one am tired of being patronised and having been almost told to live on bird seed by one doctor I threw out the diet advice took up the power plate and have a trimmer figure and very few symptoms of menopause. I agrre. I hate any kind of prescriptive books. Descriptive books fine but my hackles start to rise when anyone tells me what to do and especially with my own body. I will make my own mind up thank you very much.
