Sorry to hear this Stumpy. i1195.photobucket.com/albums/aa394/Cybe2005/smiley-happy065.gif [/IMG] I sometimes have that happen to me but usually it's when I am stressing about something. It is not pleasant at all. I have been diagnosed with anxiety in the past but I am not really sure which came first the anxiety or meno for me.

Probably! I don't wake in the night because of any anxieties, but if I wake for some other reason then getting back to sleep again takes ages, as the worries I do have get magnified out of all proportion in the small hours and I sometimes then get palpitations/sweats etc. I've found the best "cure" is to do mental relaxation exercises - that normally works eventually. Gxx

Hi Am on Femoston 1/10 for 6 months now. seem to be better on the progesterone part (odd I know as most ladies seem to feel off when on that part). It has been said to try & get the mini pill for the prog all month, but doubt if they would let me as I struggled to get the HRT anyway due to losing my mum to coronary thrombosis at 32yrs old & dad at 50 to a heart attack. I best perk up for Xmas or I wont be happy!!!

Hi Stumpy. I too had panic attacks. 6mos. after I hit surgical menopause(both ovaries removed) I would wake with severe panic attacks. it lasted for almost exactly 6 mos. My dr. put me on Xanax. And then one day, I assume, my body just seemed used to the hrt, and they stopped. I have now moved on after 2yrs. since the surgery and I am dealing with the creeping crawlies, severe itching and skin crawling. I have picked up a saliva test and am going to have my hormone levels checked, just a suggestion for u to try. good luck
