Good morning,
I would like to ask you something. My main health issue is a pituitary tumor, which is causing similar symptoms as menopause, and I know from many other patients with prolactinoma that they have anxiety, depressive moods, low libido too. So I try not to expect a wonder from the HRT, even when I reach good E and P levels... How it's your experience? When you reached good E and P levels, did all your symptoms disappeared or they just became better? Do you feel now as good as before the peri started? I'm specially interested into symptoms like anxiety, depressive moods and low libido... I just don't know if the HRT would be able to "fix" all those problems, or should better stay realistic because of my pituitary disorder and not to expect that I will be completely free of those symptoms with the help of HRT... My anxiety is already much better compared to 6 months ago, but I still don't feel like the old me. My E levels are still too low, (27 pg/ml) but I don't dare to expect that with higher levels finally I will feel great... Just wanted to hear how you feel now. Thank you!

Rusalka I have a thyroid disease which like a pituitary tumour can mimic menopause. However making allowances for the temperamental thyroid I do feel much better with a high level of estradiol and generally free of the effects caused by menopause. I would say to these doctors who oppose decent amounts of estradiol that living without optimal levels is unnatural because until recently women died before ovarian failure and did not survive in this condition. Jacks xxx

Rusalka Pleased to help you. To be cynical these doctors who say only low estradiol levels are either men or female doctors who can make their own choices about estrogen. What is imposed on their patients is probably very different to the choices made for themselves. Jacks xx

Jacks xx This is a good point, I can ask my gyno who is also using the Estrogel about her own levels...
