Lainey, for what reason you have to get a womb ablation? Is your uterus lining too thick?

Hi rusalka, It's measuring in at 4.9 which isn't too bad but they just can't seem to stop the bleeding. It may be fibroids or something simple but a scan on tues led her to want more tests. Some months I get 8-9 days only without a bleed. Lainey xx Oh, sorry to hear this. Could it be that maybe your estrogen is too high? I read that high estrogen can lead to fibroids and constant bleeding.

Layne, now I understand, you are still so young, no wonder you need more estrogen! I though you are in our age..

Rusalka I don't agree I think women need optimal amounts of estradiol to function healthily and age should not be a factor. Jacks

Jacks This is also my opinion, but I don't believe I will meet a doctor who would share it...The theory that it's unnatural to have as high E levels as women in young age is still too persistent...

I wonder if the 14-days long use of P has worsened my depressive moods...I think I will try in this cycle only 7 days Utrogest to see if it would make a difference.. I have PMS since many years, so maybe I'm one of those P-sensitive women..

My GP pretty much leaves me to my own devices and so far, apart from Testosterone has been agreeable to anything I have asked for. However, we are moving house in a week or so and will have to change practices although I am going to blag for as long as I can but will eventually have to comply. My dilemma is, do I wait to see how I get on at the new surgery, and hope that the GP's are 'meno friendly' or should I ask this GP to be referred to a meno clinic in readiness for the move? I think the nearest meno clinic although still a fair distance is the Oxford one. Any thoughts ladies?

Jacks, do you know which use of Progesterone recommends Prof. Studd- oral or vaginal? If it's correct what I have read, it's a large difference between those two usage methods- oral it would be only 10 mg absorbed, but vaginal about 80 mg. So, what is better for us?

Jaycee Why don't you blag it for a short while and then use a menopause clinic if needs be. I'm sure your GP could be persuaded to part with extra supplies if you tell him of your concerns. Oh to be in Spain you can access tons of things from friendly pharmacists there. Jacks

Rusalka I'm not certain which he especially recommends as better. I'm not sure there is a superior system of using progesterone. I think it depends on the individual and how well they metabolise it. I do well with oral progesterone but Lainey loathes it. Jacks

Yes, you are all right - it makes sense to get plenty of supplies with the current GP; ask for a referral so that I have an appointment in progress (not sure how long I will have to wait) and meanwhile check out the new surgery. It will be the same one my daughter goes to and although she says it's fine and her GP is great, she hasn't had to go through the HRT minefield as we have. We soon see their true colours then. I'm not sure if the house move has overtaken everything else and I just haven't had time to dwell on any other issues, or if the slightly increased dosage of oestrogel (up to two and a half to three pumps a day) and the improved rubbing in has had an effect and I am surprisingly not completely losing the plot. The stress is not bad stress, but more an agitated 'I can't get things done quicklyl enough' kind of feeling.
