I had a pituitary stress test, ordered by my new endocrinologist. The test was very exhausting ( they put me under insulin to provoke an extreme situation) and this way the endo will see if my pituitary is hypo or it "only" has a tumor. I'm so anxious about the results, I have to wait almost 2 weeks... And just now my anxiety is quite bad again

Rusalka, Tumours are very common on the pituitary gland and i presume thats why the endo is saying only tumours. I know this because i stumbled across them only a few months ago. Your endo won't be meaning cancerous tumours. The ones she is speaking about are more of a nuisance than anything else. Personally i would try not to get too stressed over it as that is making you more anxious but i must admit i am impressed with your endo at everything shes done so far for you. Lainey xx Lainey, I do have a very small pituitary tumor, which is not dangerous, but it's messing my whole hormone system. My new endo is one of the best and is treating actually only private patients, but I was very lucky to get an appointment, the secretary on the telephone made a mistake :-) She is the first endo who came on the idea to order this test to see if I have a hypopituitarism or not. And she also thinks that I don't have necessarily take the meds for the prolactin, which I couldn't tolerate, they are just too heavy.. So now I have to wait till the results.. You are also waiting for your results?
