linkI have been away from the computer for a couple of days having suffered horrendous PMS.My husband checked my pulse and found it was racing 20 beats higher than normal - I felt so unwell he popped me into bed for the day. I had struggled to find anything sensible about PMS until I found the above link. Thanks to this I am taking an extra dose of beta blocker to prevent the nasty excess effects of too much adrenaline. Many links on PS just talk about diet, exercise and recommended CBT. I think I will stick with extra propanolol and estradiol towards the end of my cycle. Jacks

Hi Jacks I was suffering terribly with racing heart and somehow came across a connection between oestrogen and magnesium that in effect seems to mean that as oestrogen levels go we can experience symptoms of low magnesium level which include heart problems. I now take magnesium when I feel I need it either orally though the body can only absorb so much this way without sending you running.... Think milk of magnesia!
Luckily there is an alternative... Just like with Oestergel it is absorbs through the skin... Epsom salts or as I have been experimenting with Himalayan salt crystals either in a full bath or foot bath seem for me at least to make a complete difference.
No more racing heart, anxiety etc. one of the things I read describes the use of magnesium in a&e for heart attacks... And many if not most of us are magnesium deficient or so I have read.
Regardless it has mas made a huge difference for me. Hope this helps
