Not sure I've put this question in the right place.
Hi, I had a couple of hot flashes at the beginning of the month. Now I'm mid-cycle and I got what appears to be a full on period. I've had fairly heaving bleeding a couple of days. It will work out as two periods in one month. I'm presuming this is quite normal for peri? I've had it once before hot flashes and then two periods?
At present I fortunate I don't get hot flashes every month but I am aware that could change.

Hi mojo This does happenIt was something I experienced and is due to the endometrium disintegrating because of low estradiol.i had my lining scanned just to be on the safe side and everything was normal. It is called polymennorhea sometimes thyroid disruption can trigger it. Jacks

Thanks again Jacks for the useful info. I suspect then that it is the low estradiol that is causing my mood swings as at the moment too. I had a scan about a year and a half ago and the lining was fine then, so I suspect everything is still ok.

I think you are right and usually bleeding which needs attention presents itself after sexual activity rather than mid cycle. When I had this it was a nuisance but it did resolve itself. I use hormones but don't think you do but I am sure it will clear up -it is a nuisance factor and can cost a packet in sanitary products. Jacks

No, I don't feel the need to use hormones yet, as it not enough of a problem. If this carried on for months I would speak to my GP. My mum took hormones and she looked marvellous.
