Just wondered if anyone is suffering from pigmentation? Since using oestrogel quite a lot of dark spots ie age spots that weren't there before have come up all over my arms and the ones on my face are darker? Any advice? I have invested in a mural cream but wondered if it gets so bad I may have to come off hrt, I am using one pump in morning and evening so not on a massive dose.

Evelyn i don't think Oestrogel causes pigmentation. I think as menopause strikes it changes the skin causing vulnerability to pigmentation. I have a couple of brown spots on my hands. To prevent further eruptions I have bought white cotton gloves and cut off the fingers to protect the hands. I intend on getting mine removed. I had some success with Elure in lightening them. Jacks

Oh thanks for advice, yes that must be it, it happen ended really suddenly never had before with all the sun I have had, I have got a special cream and some Clinique 45factor dark spot stuff which I am lathering on now when I go out, I thought it was the oestrogel causing it! I cut down the gel and soon regretted it and very quickly went back to usual dose, my down belows are completely back to normal on this gel which is amazing, I hav small bladder prolapse but Kemal exercises have helped amazingly, so I guess I just have to now b careful in the sub, I heard I can get a prescription from my doctor for a special gel for pigmentation so I do this too! Like you I think after the summer I will get laser on the dark patches on my face! My hands are very mottled! Other than being very patchy feeling pretty good, just to let u know as u gave me advice when I very first used this column I am taking the 100mg utrogestan for first 7 days of month, I get a bleed so hopefully that will clear me out, just gotta find a local scanning place now, I have just started taking spirulina and have loads of energ Y which I need working and looking after my grandchild part time! This site is great I often read everyone's issues about menopause, I still worry bit sometimes about the oestrogel and safety, do you feel totally confident taking it.
