Finally there has been some major acknowledgement in Australia about the IMS statement about HRT. Below is a link to a story that appeared on "Today Tonight" last night, which is a current affair show in Australia. au.news.yahoo.com/today-tonight/health/article/-/14285016/hormone-replacement-therapy/There have been minor articles here and there about it, but they've mainly been buried deep in the internet or on page 53 of a newspaper. I have never actually seen any major TV news program have an segment about it. I have been considering contacting one of these new programs about the unavailability of Utrogestan in Australia, so I'm going to use this story as a follow up to them about other problems menopausal women have. I just hope they don't expect me to appear on TV...lol....

That's really good to see Robyn.
It's about time issues such as this were acknowledged.
Maybe you should consider appearing on TV - be an excellent way to spread the word about this forum!

Oh lord no! I'm definitely not a person who likes a lot of attention. I'm also much better at the written word rather than the spoken word. I would only end up getting horribly confused and not make a lot of sense....lol...
I'm happy to give them as much information as I know, but I'd rather they did the investigations. That program has a doctor who regularly appears about different issues, so they can interview him about it...lol... Maybe he doesn't even know about Utrogestan either, so he can look into too.

That is very good news. The link about elevated testosterone levels in some women was also very interesting.
