I must admit I am so tired of either being charged wacking sums of money for treatment because menopause is easy to exploit - or being told by NHS idiots that I shouldn't use hormones in case ........
I have a large store of hormones sitting in my cold cellar and I have no intention of consulting with a doctor just to get a very expensive prescription when I can see a local GP privately and get hormones for £80.
Spire hospitals offer a private GP service - email them if you want a less expensive prescription.

hiya ladies...newbie here...dr annie is great, im in support group of hers on facebook for early meno........if you and your gp get on fine hormone wise then good on ya....i think private consults by genuine menopause experts like panay and annie are the way to go if your gp will not listen and says its all in your head!

I like people to be fully aware of the menopause and ideally have written apers etc on the subject before i part with my hard earned cash.

Having seen both studd and panay, i can say that panay is more understanding of the disruption that hormone fluctuation can cause but having been in surgical menopause herself since 36, annie understands more than both of them.

I have to go private as my gp does not listen to me about my meno symptoms (surgical meno) but yet if mr p tells her they are meno symptoms she is quite happy to follow his advice...even though i originally told her the symptoms i had were from fluctuations and low e etc and he advises tretament that I had previously asked for!

I read that this Dr Annie Evans gets the dislike of menopause. This makes a great change from the majority of doctors. Have you often consulted her and how is her approach.It would be great to have a few good reviews of menopause doctors
